Strawberry Snowpack

Strawberry is located in the Stanislaus River Basin.
Snow melt is primarily responsible for providing water to Herring Creek in the summers, and thus to customers.

The graphs are given in inches, with each horizontal line representing 1 foot of snow on the ground. A maximum of 14 feet can be displayed.

~~~~~~
Snow from the Herring Creek Measurement Station (HNG) melts directly into Herring Creek. Unfortunately, measurements are only taken at this site once a month.
Data is from the CA Dept. of Water Resources California Data Exchange Center. This graph shows the last 10 years.
Snow from the Gianelli Meadow Measurement Station (GNL) does not melt directly into Herring Creek, but instead feeds the Stanislaus River. However, is is the closest station where daily measurements are taken and, because Herring Creek is part of the Stanislaus River Basin, it provides a good general picture of the status of water in the area.
Data is from the CA Dept. of Water Resources California Data Exchange Center. This graph shows the last 10 Water Years, which start on October 1st and end September 30th.
