Voluntary Conservation Requested
On October 19, 2021, Governor Gavin Newson issued additional drought declarations to bring all 58 California counties under State Emergency Proclamations. From the October 19, 2021 Proclamation (external link), the governor called on all Californians to continue reducing their water usage by 15% compared to 2020, and to continue observing prohibited wasteful water uses.
Del Oro Water Company (DOWC) hereby requests its customers’ assistance in water conservation efforts. Your cooperation with DOWC’s Rule 14.1 – Non-Essential, Wasteful Uses of Water and DOWC's Schedule 14.1 - Water Shortage Contingency Plan will help to lessen the effects of this extremely dry water year, and is necessary to ensure reliable supplies of water for your comfort and necessary use.
All Del Oro Water Company customers are asked to reduce water use by 15% compared to 2020 usage.
